Thematic Environment Design
This Thematic Environment Design was created for the award winning video game Tropico, Pirate Cove. The project was created at PopTop Software, Inc. under the direction of Phil Steinmeyer and Franz Felsl. Two renowned game designers.
The overall architecture and interior design is a whimsical approach to the life of a Pirate.
Various interactive elements were created from the scene assets and became interactive GUI interfaces.
The architecture, color, music and subtle animations created an immersive environment that set the tone and feel of the game.
*Its also important to note that Brian Feldges who is now with Firaxis Games assisted in the overall design and direction as well as provided various scene elements such as the Parrot and Pirate Cove Island.
